This photo is of my friend Jason, one of the few people I've come somewhat close to since moving to Portland. When he was younger, he got the tattoos you see in the photo. Since then, according to his own words, he has matured, and aimed to immerse in society, only to be shunned by his physical appearance. Few look at Jason and realize that his skin does not symbolize his mind or heart, but only a single and irrelevant fragment of his past, entirely unaffecting the person who he is today beyond the opportunities available to him.
Wow. On the pictures side, i like the light tones of grey, it lightens up the picture and gives it a more cheery feeling. On the discriptions part, i think its a rather moveing story and does add life to the subject. heh,.. he's kinda cute too...
Good Job!

#Amazing how shallow people can be .. from this pic alone you just get a feeling of good, wholesome humanity in him .. none of the superficial bullshit other people have in them. It's a damn shame :\~

A million blind men every day, pick up a can of beans and say .. "Mmm! Peaches!"
Finally got to see Jason and pup! I already told you everything about how I felt, but I just wanna restate here that you did a wonderful job; what strikes me first is the smile, the eyes--if someone wants to reduce him down to what he now considers a "bad decision", fuck them. It's too bad they run society, 'cause I already know he's smarter than half of 'em from our talks. Not even a bad decision imo--someone's got a tattoo on their face, they have a tattoo on their face.
So imma 'n our friend and imma tell yah 'gin, excellent work lovah, and imma yah, and imma go back to talkin' to yah.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
